Blueberry - Blackberry - Marjoram - Lemonade

Fazenda Passeio, owned by the Vieira Ferreira family is located in Sul de Minas Brazil and currently headed by Adolfo Vieira Ferreira. The farm sits around 1200 meters above sea level, has extremely fertile soil and sees regular rain which make for optimal conditions to grow this exciting lot of 100% Icatu varietal coffee.

This lot is separated from the others to maintain the distinct characteristics of the Icatu varietal - namely wild complexities that are sometimes lost in coffees from Brazil. Being a pulped natural preparation the overall character of the coffee is like fermented blackberry, blueberry and lemonade. As a brewed coffee it exhibits flavors reminiscent of dry red wine and fresh orange juice. It has a bit of interesting herbal character as well which makes this a coffee not to miss out on. Given its bold sweetness and structure this also pulls lovely as espresso.
